Mohamed Shawky, Co-founder and CEO of GIS Drones, spoke about the advantages of including drones in the fleet of tools deployed across the built industry. He says that, “Drones can save upto 70% time and 50% of cost compared to manual methods” in situations such as rope access cleaning and maintenance. He explains that drones combined with artificial intelligence have revolutionised data gathering and analysis. “AI software can analyse 500 to 600 images within minutes for over 30 different faults, which gives a 90% accuracy to our clients,” says Shawky.
