Berkeley Services Group and Lootah Biofuel: A green partnership for the future

Berkeley Services Group announced a significant milestone in their ESG initiatives through a Biofuel agreement with Lootah Biofuel. This collaboration results in an annual reduction of 30,000 kilograms (30 metric tons) of CO2 emissions, equivalent to removing 6.5 cars from the road, planting 500 tree seedlings, saving the energy consumption of 3.6 homes, or offsetting 74,000 miles of air travel.
These actions highlight Berkeley Services Group's commitment to environmental stewardship and corporate responsibility. By contributing to the UAE's sustainable future, Berkeley is setting a benchmark for industry peers. This milestone is part of a broader strategy by Berkeley Services to integrate sustainable practices across all aspects of their operations, showcasing their role as a leader in the transition to a low-carbon economy.
In addition to reducing emissions, the partnership with Lootah Biofuel underscores the importance of collaborative efforts in achieving ambitious environmental goals. By working
together, both organisations are not only addressing immediate environmental concerns but also paving the way for future innovations in sustainability.
In a press release statement, Nadesh Gandhari, Head of ESG, said, "Our signing of the biofuel agreement marks a pivotal step in our ESG strategy, and as Head of ESG, I am excited to lead our efforts towards a more sustainable and responsible future.”
Karl Heinz Otto Mair, CEO, also added in a press release,"This agreement marks a significant milestone in our ESG journey. We are grateful for the efforts of our team and partners at Lootah Biofuel, working together towards the UAE's 2050 net zero emissions goal."
Berkeley Services Group, in collaboration with their parent organisation Klueh International, remains at the forefront of environmental responsibility, consistently striving to make impactful changes.
