In line with its measures to curb the spread of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, Kuwait’s Ministry of Public Works has revealed plans to build temporary homes for nearly 25,000 expatriate labourers.
The Public Works ministry will work alongside Kuwait’s Ministry of Health under a contract to build these homes, the state-owned Kuwait News Agency, reported.
Kuna quoted the public works ministry’s Abdullah Al-Ajmi, who said that the decision was taken during a meeting with representatives from the health ministry. Al-Ajmi added that the ministry will also conduct field visits to ensure that the temporary homes met with proper living standards.
