Tadweer (Centre of Waste Management – Abu Dhabi) hosted its second stakeholder workshop as part of the Abu Dhabi Waste Master Plan 2040 programme.
The event was attended by senior executives that shared their insights on the modeling phase of the master plan. Abu Dhabi Waste Master Plan 2040, spanning 25 years, will aid the emirate improve the quality of its waste collection, recovery, treatment, and disposal standards. Remarking on the workshop, HE Eisa Saif Al Qubaisi, general manager of Tadweer, said: The Abu Dhabi Waste Master Plan's Second Stakeholder Workshop was extremely successful; we have achieved significant progress with the support and feedback of the participants.
"We have contemplated multiple approaches to the waste management system in Abu Dhabi in order to identify the best opportunities for reshaping the system and delivering maximum returns for the emirate. "From collection, infrastructure and facilities to current legislation and policies, all of these aspects have to be taken into consideration to understand which links in the chain need to be strengthened. Implementing this process and gathering this data has allowed us to reach a pivotal point in the plan’s development."
