Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, and Chairman of the Executive Council, has issued Executive Council Resolution No. (73) of 2025, appointing Abdullah Ahmed Mohammed Saleh Al Shehi as the new Chief Executive Officer of the Real Estate Regulatory Agency (RERA).
Under the Resolution, Al Shehi will assume leadership of RERA following his transfer from the Mohammed Bin Rashid Housing Establishment, where he previously held a senior executive role.
The decision underscores Dubai’s commitment to strengthening its real estate sector through experienced leadership as the emirate continues to expand its property market and align with broader economic diversification goals.
RERA, the regulatory arm of the Dubai Land Department (DLD), plays a critical role in ensuring transparency, governance, and investor confidence in the emirate’s real estate market.
With the sector witnessing robust demand and the launch of new megaprojects, Al Shehi’s appointment comes at a pivotal time.
The Resolution takes effect from the date of issuance and has been published in the Official Gazette, reinforcing the Executive Council’s directive for effective leadership transitions within key government entities.
