Dubai Peninsula, the large-scale waterfront development by Dubai-based developer and asset manager H&H, has entered its active construction phase, with lead contractors appointed and civil works progressing across the masterplan.
DBB Contracting LLC has been named main contractor for the infrastructure works, with on-site activity now underway across key foundational and preparatory elements. Masterplan infrastructure completion has reached 20%, marking a tangible early milestone for the development as it transitions from planning into full delivery.
Masterplan Infrastructure and Site Engineering
At the core of the development's civil engineering programme is a 1 million sq ft central park underpinned by a layered infrastructure corridor, integrating a basement car park, service roads, and logistics loading bays designed to serve the destination's long-term operational requirements. A nearly 2km loop road network is being constructed to run through the entirety of Dubai Peninsula, forming the connective spine that ties together all components of the mixed-use masterplan into a single integrated ecosystem.
Miltos Bosinis, CEO of H&H, said: "Construction is progressing according to plan, with foundational and preparatory work well underway. As we move firmly into the delivery phase, our focus remains on executing the masterplan with the level of quality and detail that defines H&H."
Programme Scope and Built Environment
The Dubai Peninsula masterplan is positioned along the coastline at the edge of Dubai Canal in Jumeirah, with the development programme encompassing residential towers, five-star hospitality assets, high-end retail, food and beverage, and extensive public realm. The destination's design brief centres on a highly walkable environment connecting a private beach, marina, and waterfront promenades through landscaped parkland and a central park.
Planned built environment elements include cultural pavilions, a beach club, Michelin-star dining, superyacht berthing infrastructure, and a floating marina bar — components that place significant demands on the civil, MEP, and marine engineering workstreams being coordinated across the site.
The development will offer 1km of private, sunrise-facing beach on one side and a sunset marina on the other, requiring coordinated coastal engineering and marine construction works as the programme advances.
Developer Outlook
H&H, which has been active in Dubai since 2007, is positioning Dubai Peninsula as its most ambitious masterplan delivery to date. The company's portfolio includes partnerships with globally recognised hospitality brands — among them Four Seasons, Aman, Janu, and Rosewood — as well as its own branded residential concept, Eden House.
Shahab Lutfi, Chairman of H&H, said: "Dubai Peninsula is more than a development — it is a carefully envisioned destination. Every element, from the architecture to the experiences we will offer, is strategically designed to refine waterfront living in Dubai, setting a new benchmark for quality and design."
With contractors mobilised and infrastructure works advancing, H&H has indicated the development remains on schedule, with further construction milestones expected as the programme moves deeper into its delivery phase.
