Developer ELEVATE has awarded a AED 50 million piling and foundation works contract to specialist contractor Pinnacle Piling at its Mondrian Al Marjan Island Beach Residences project in Ras Al Khaimah, marking a significant construction milestone on the AED 1.8 billion beachfront development.
The contract award follows the completion of shoring works on site, with the project reported to be progressing ahead of its construction programme. Pinnacle Piling, which brings more than 35 years of geotechnical and foundation expertise to the appointment, has worked with ELEVATE previously and is now fully mobilised on site.
The piling package represents one of the more technically demanding phases of the development's construction programme, with Al Marjan Island's coastal geology and beachfront positioning presenting specific geotechnical requirements. Pinnacle Piling's track record on technically complex regional projects was cited as a key factor in the appointment.
Zeeshaan Shah, Founder and Chairman of ELEVATE, described the contractor appointment as consistent with the pace the developer has sought to set across both sales and construction activity. Phase 1 of the project has sold out, with the developer reporting continued strong demand for Phase 2.
Sai Kumar, Chairman and Owner of Pinnacle Piling, confirmed that teams are fully mobilised and that the shoring phase has been completed successfully, with the contractor committed to maintaining construction momentum through the foundations package.
The Mondrian Al Marjan Island Beach Residences sits within ELEVATE's wider portfolio of hospitality-branded residential developments and forms part of the broader growth of Al Marjan Island as a leisure and luxury destination — a trajectory that received additional impetus following the announcement of a Wynn resort on the island. The Mondrian brand, operated under Ennismore — a joint venture with Accor — has an established international portfolio spanning Singapore, Los Angeles, Miami, Doha, and Seoul, among others, with further openings planned in the Maldives, Bucharest, and Abu Dhabi.
The foundation works contract award positions Mondrian Al Marjan Island Beach Residences among the more active construction sites on the island, as developer interest in Ras Al Khaimah's hospitality and residential pipeline continues to intensify.
