Key Achievements and Transformative Initiatives
Customized Solutions and Code Implementation: ICC MENA has supported local Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs) and stakeholders in adapting and implementing the International Building Code (I-Codes) and other resources to meet regional requirements, ensuring safety and efficiency across diverse construction projects.
Strategic Partnerships and Regional Impact: ICC contributes to the advancement of building safety, sustainability, and regulatory frameworks across the region through strategic collaborations with leading entities such as the Saudi Building Code National Committee (SBCNC), the Saudi Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing (MOMAH), and Oman’s Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning (MoHUP). As part of its commitment to the UAE, ICC participated in The Big 5 Global, Dubai’s premier construction trade event, where it showcased a comprehensive suite of solutions focusing on energy efficiency and sustainable construction. Additionally, ICC MENA’s contributions to Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, including its participation in key events like Cityscape Global, MEPIC, and the International Fire Operations Conference (IFOC), further underscore its dedication to supporting national growth priorities.
Driving Innovation in Construction: Pioneering advancements such as 3D concrete printing and offsite construction have been central to ICC MENA’s mission. By working closely with AHJs, ICC MENA has ensured these cutting-edge technologies meet rigorous safety standards and are seamlessly integrated into local practices.
Expansion of Testing, Inspection, and Certification (TIC): ICC MENA has significantly bolstered its Testing, Inspection, and Certification services, providing critical support for new and innovative building systems.
This has been instrumental in improving the regulatory framework, allowing for greater adoption of cutting-edge construction methods without compromising safety.
