As a leader for positive change, Chris Roberts is an expert in spotting gaps and shortcomings in an organizational structure.
Resilient and confident in his mission to excel, he has consistently fostered a culture of constant improvement through inspiration.
He has continuously endeavored to develop what, according to him, is the most valuable asset for any successful business: its people.
One of his key contributions in this regard has been the creation of a branded initiative named Get Wonky, which focuses on improving work experience, boosting employee happiness and creating an inclusive environment of support and positive change.
Besides this, he has created end-to-end training and development programmes for all employees across the Group.
Chris’ innovative prowess stems from his own rigorous self-reflection as a leader and his keenness on self-growth for organizational success. One of his key mottos is to lead by example. By setting high standards personally, he has been successful in placing himself at the forefront of the physical asset industry throughout the GCC. Throughout his tenure he has worked at several leading FM companies and on several iconic projects.
His position at Eltizam has not only increased the Group’s revenues ten-fold in the past eight years, but has also driven up the quality of services across the scope of the Group’s operations by attaining and maintaining numerous certifications and qualifications.
Keeping the challenges of the pandemic in mind, in the past two years, Chris has introduced five new firms via acquisitions to the Group, setting the total employee pool at just over 6,500 personnel operating across five countries.
Even with all the intricacies surrounding this expansion, he has kept the team focused and inspired. With this, Eltizam was able to deliver circa 25% savings to various master communities, while increasing quality standards.
Achieving these milestones in turn played an integral role in increasing the value of properties within the communities served by the Group.
Being technologically savvy but product agnostic throughout his career, he continues to push for the implementation of various innovations and platforms to ensure his organization remains future proof.
This was accomplished through the development of technology to enhance operations, an example being providing one of the first service charge portals in the country.
Through his Get Wonky framework, Chris spearheaded the development of ZAM, a HR Robot Assistant accessible round-the-clock. ZAM offers employees access to internal HR systems giving them instant access to everything from leave balance to certified salary certificates. This swift employee-focused action reflects the solution-oriented mindset Chris has fostered throughout the organisation in building a resilient workforce.
Under Chris’ leadership, the firm also launched cleaning robots, TafawuqGo and PropEzy. These initiatives have given the group a wide spectrum of competitive advantage by improving the company and its and clients’ carbon footprint, delivering internal efficiencies and enhancing customer experience.
During his tenure at Eltizam, turn-around times have decreased, both internal and external satisfaction have increased and shareholder support has soared.
