Adrian Jarvis, General Manager, FSI Middle East, elaborates on the initiatives, key highlights, and the vision for the company in the coming year. 

COVID-19 Initiatives

Globally FSI was able to switch to home working virtually overnight and we have been able to continue to operate seamlessly all aspects of our business from business development through to professional services delivery and support to clients online.

We created a weekly dashboard that gives us the pulse of the business at any one point in time. The wellness of FSI staff has also moved to the top of our agenda, especially now that everyone is working remotely.

Additionally, we have had to change certain processes to ensure the smooth running of our projects. Some of the elements that were historically conducted face-to-face, such as training and scoping studies, are now being conducted virtually. More emphasis is placed on carrying out upfront business analysis work, ensuring we have the correct stakeholders in meetings, and our approach is more focused, time-bound, and controlled via a strict agenda.

2020 Highlights

In 2020, FSI as an international company has continued to develop and enhance our products. We have encompassed a “contactless” approach particularly for the users of our contractor product suite to help combat COVID-19. We have also introduced a Wellness App for use in the workplace.

We are very proud to have supported Interserve, for rapidly mobilising all FM Services for Project Nightingale, the NHS hospitals to fight coronavirus, in just 12 days. FSI deployed a purpose-built SaaS deployment of our core enterprise CAFM / IWMS solution, Concept Evolution, for Interserve and Project Nightingale.

Last, but not least, October 2020 also marked FSI’s 30th anniversary in business.

Vision 2021

From a product perspective, 2021 promises to be a busy year for FSI Middle East. The release of Concept Evolution v5.5 is imminent with enhancements to supply chain surveys and task appointments, and management. In 2021 we will be adding further enhancements to the way task assignments can be managed in Concept Evolution, and a new Surveys module with features for staff wellbeing, and improved mobile audit features for work and access surveys. Further, we will be promoting the FSI Cloud Platform, Dreamscape, and its “create, integrate and collaborate” business extensibility capabilities.

From a business perspective, our focus will be to continue to grow our client portfolio across MENA with a particular focus on the Saudi Arabian FM market.
