An architect by profession, Prof Jeevan D'Mello, CEO, Zenesis Corp, is popularly known as the 'Father of Community Management in the Middle East' among his peers.

He is responsible for bringing Community Management education to the UAE, being the first instructor for the subject and spearheading the formation of CAIME, which is the Middle East chapter of US-based Community Associations Institute (CAI), and served as its inaugural president. 

He is also the first non-American and non-resident board member of CAI in 45 years. Prior to that he was appointed as a Commissioner on the Community Association Managers International Certificate Board (CAMICB) in the USA. 

As a pioneer in the community management industry in the region, he was involved in the setting up of the region's biggest community management company for Emaar Properties. The company currently manages some 170 towers and 14,000 homes and the tallest tower in the world, Burj Khalifa.  

Later on, he contributed towards the setting up of Nakheel Community Management, which is responsible for managing iconic master communities like the Palm Island, Jumeirah Islands, the Gardens, among many others. 

In addition to these, he has worked on several other iconic master plans in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia. 

Prof Jeevan has played a valuable role in raising awareness on the profession of community management in the Middle East.

In 2008, he became the first certified Community Association Management professional in the region earning the CMCA, AMS, LSM and PCAM credentials.

"During the inception of the freehold development in the UAE, I saw the challenges that the nation would have in store in the management of such freehold communities and he solved that challenge by creating a new profession of Community Association Management while providing opportunities to hundreds of professionals to work and thrive in this industry," he says.

A well-established international speaker, Prof Jeevan has authored four books, three of which are related to the community management industry. 

An authorized lecturer in the US, UAE and Bahrain, Prof Jeevan started the first community management training programmes in the UAE. He has taught in several institutions around the world, including those in countries like India, Mexico, Colombia and Spain.

He has received a multitude of international awards and accolades. In 2011 he received the Community Association Institute's 'Rising Star Award' and in 2014 the prestigious 'President's Award' in the USA.
