Currently Chief Executive Officer of Deyaar Facilities Management, he is known for his passion towards customers and the service quality delivered to them. Mohamad has a proven track record of implementing international best practices, improving safety standards, increasing organization profitability and driving efficiency.
Within three years of his current tenure, Mohamad has been successful in quadrupling the workforce of Deyaar FM apart from doubling the overall revenue. By leading the restructuring of the company, he has improved the quality-of-service delivery, became more cost effective and built new partnerships upstream with our clients and downstream with our service providers. He has been successful in reducing up to 25% of operational costs through procurement excellence and vendor partnerships.
“As part of Deyaar FM’s growth strategy, the emphasis has been to continue investing in technology and training. Currently steps are being taken to optimize HR functions and Operations. One such step was implementing the new HR software and integrating it with our ERP and CAFM systems. We are also working on the use of Augmented Reality in operations and using NFC tags instead of QR codes,” Mohamad said.
Another significant achievement was the recent award of ISO 41001 Facilities Management certification and BICS certification for Deyaar FM.
As a member of associations like MEFMA and OMAINTEC, he is a regular speaker at various conferences, workshops and exhibitions in the UAE, Saudi, Egypt and Lebanon. He has had the privilege to speak to various customers and educate them about FM practices and how to move from input based to output based contracts. Being a bi-lingual (Arabic & English) has been a distinct advantage for Mohamad while interacting with his customers both in UAE and Saudi Arabia.
The biggest takeaway last year has been the promotion of 76 existing staff to new roles which is in line with Deyaar FM’s strategy to develop a career path for its staff. Also, as part of its commitment to staff welfare, the staff were moved to an upgraded staff accommodation in Al Quoz from Jebel Ali in addition to the enhancement of the current fleet.
“We have started 2022 on a very positive note and we keep looking at sustainable and measured growth. It is paramount for us that we mobilize our projects on time, meet our KPIs, and strengthen our business partnerships with our customers,” Mohamad concluded.
