Enhancing holistic wellbeing

Better Communities Owner Association Management recently achieved a significant milestone by securing the prestigious WELLNESS Certification for the buildings under its management. This accomplishment underscores the company’s commitment to comply with RERA initiatives by promoting healthier living environments and sets a benchmark in the realm of community management. By integrating wellness-focused practices into the core of their operations, Better Communities is leading the way in enhancing the quality of life for residents.

A journey of teamwork and dedication

The path to obtaining the WELLNESS Certification was marked by meticulous planning, strategic implementation, and an unwavering commitment to excellence. This achievement was the result of a concerted team effort, with every member of the Better Communities team playing a vital role. From facility managers to maintenance personnel, everyone contributed to creating environments that promote health and well-being.

One of the first steps in this journey was a comprehensive audit of the existing buildings. This audit involved evaluating various aspects such as air and water quality, safety, and even employee welfare policies. Understanding the current state of these elements allowed the team to identify areas for improvement and develop a targeted action plan.

Implementing wellness-focused improvements

Armed with the audit results, Better Communities embarked on an ambitious plan to enhance the wellness standards across their buildings. One of the key initiatives was upgrading the air filtration systems to improve indoor air quality. This included installing high-efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filters and implementing regular maintenance schedules to ensure optimal performance. By reducing the presence of airborne pollutants, these upgrades create a healthier indoor environment for residents.

Beyond the building-focused initiatives, enhancing both employee and resident wellness was a central aspect of our efforts. Recognising that the well-being of its team directly impacts the quality of service it provides, they made a concerted effort to improve the current health and wellness benefits of its employees. This approach involved creating a more holistic working environment that supports their physical, mental, and emotional health.

For our employees, we introduced comprehensive wellness programmes that extend beyond traditional health benefits. This includes providing access to mental health resources, such as counselling services and stress management workshops, to ensure our team members feel supported in every aspect of their lives. We also introduced flexible working arrangements, allowing employees to better balance their work and personal lives, which is crucial for overall well-being.

For our residents, we focused on creating a sense of community and providing opportunities for social interaction and physical activity. Initiatives such as organising community wellness events, fitness classes, and onsite health check-up were implemented. These programmes aim to foster a supportive environment where residents can connect, stay active, and learn about maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

By addressing wellness from multiple angles—through building improvements, employee support, and resident engagement—we have created a more holistic approach to well-being. This comprehensive focus not only enhances the quality of life within our communities but also ensures that our team is equipped to provide the highest level of service to our residents.

Positive impact on community living"

“The WELLNESS Certification is more than just an accolade; it represents our dedication to creating living environments that truly enhance the well-being of our residents," as noted by Haifa Ben Ammar – Community and Compliance Manager. "This achievement was made possible through the hard work and collaboration of our entire team, who are committed to making a positive difference in every aspect of community living."

Setting a new standard in Community Management

By achieving the WELLNESS Certification, Better Communities Owner Association Management has set a new standard for community management. This accomplishment serves as an inspiring example of how prioritising health and well-being can lead to vibrant, thriving communities. The company’s forward-thinking approach demonstrates that with careful planning, teamwork, and a commitment to excellence, creating healthier living environments is not just a goal but a sustainable reality.
