Saudi Arabia Cleaning, Waste Management, and Facilities Management Awards: Highlights
 

The first edition of the Saudi Arabia Cleaning, Waste Management, and Facilities Management (SACWFM) Awards was held on November 3, 2022 at Crowne Plaza Riyadh Minhal. The SACWFM 2022 awards have been conceptualised to highlight the best performers in the commercial cleaning, waste management, and facilities management industries in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The first edition of these awards strived to recognise those moving the needle in their respective industries.

The awards were supported by industry stalwarts like Reza Hygiene (Diamond Sponsor), Tork, Albawani International, Hakko, Chbib, Bits FM, Al Bariq Equipment (category sponsors) and Musanadah as dinner sponsors.

The awards ceremony was a grand success with the inaugural edition witnessing over 150 industry professionals attending the event. The evening started with a high-profile networking session, followed by the glittering awards function. Delivering the welcome address, Marisha Singh, Editor, CMtoday magazine said, “The SACWFM Awards brim with opportunities for the three industries that have the potential to make a significant impact in the ever-growing economy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. They celebrate the incredible achievements of commercial cleaning, waste management and facilities management sectors. The Awards also highlight the extraordinary talent, innovation and commitment demonstrated by companies and their leaders in this country's clean, waste & FM industries”.

The entries were evaluated by a jury panel of eminent international professionals from the industry - Mick Dalton who is a founding board member of Global FM, Mohammed Aleemuddin of Saudi Services Co Ltd, Khalid Ibrahim who is Associate Utilities Infrastructure Director working in Red Sea Global Company, Manuel Hidalgo who is with the Royal Commission for Al Ula as Sustainability Compliance Manager, Maryam Telmesani who is Chair - UN Global Compact Network, Saudi Arabia, and Badr Hamzaza who has been former operations director with Emaar, The Economic City.

Keith Watson, Deputy Division manager of Reza Hygiene acknowledged the work and credibility of the platform as he addressed the attendees of the SACWFM Awards in his keynote address.

The first edition of the awards received nominations from key industry names and projects, among others. Of these, 12 winners and runner-up prizes were presented across 7 award categories for the facilities management sector.

IFM COMPANY OF THE YEAR

The IFM Company of the Year Award goes to Initial Saudi Group.

 

RUNNER- UP

The runner up for the IFM Company of the Year Award is Musanadah Facilities Management.

 

INDUSTRY PERSONALITY OF THE YEAR

The Industry personality of the year award goes to Jason Ruehland, from Muheel Services LLC.

 

WOMAN ICON OF THE YEAR AWARD

The Woman Icon of the Year Award goes to Wejdan Alkahtani, from Riyadh Airports.

 

ADOPTION OF TECH AWARD

WINNER

The Adoption of Tech Award goes to Emaar, from The Economic City.

 

RUNNER- UP

The runner up for The Adoption of Tech Award is Muheel Facilities Management.

 

CLIENT-CONTRACTOR PARTNERSHIP AWARD

WINNER

The Client-Contractor Partnership Award goes to Musanadah Facilities Management, from The Royal Commission of Alula.

 

RUNNER- UP

The runner up for the Client-Contractor Partnership Award is VTX Facilities Management, from MISK City.

 

PROPERTY MANAGEMENT COMPANY OF THE YEAR

WINNER

The Property Management Company of the Year Award goes to The Red Sea Development Company (rebranded to Red Sea Global).

 

RUNNER- UP

The runner-up for the Property Management Company of the Year Award is Solana Living.

 

SUSTAINABILITY INITIATIVE OF THE YEAR

The Sustainability Initiative of the Year Award goes to Tork.

 

RUNNER- UP

The runner-up for the Sustainability Initiative of the Year Award is Real Estate General Authority.
