Berkeley Services Awarded EcoVadis Silver Medal, Ranking Among the Top 15% of Companies Assessed Globally

Berkeley Services is proud to announce that it has been awarded the prestigious EcoVadis Silver Medal, placing the organisation in the 91st percentile globally and among the top 15% of companies assessed worldwide for sustainability performance.

EcoVadis is one of the world's most trusted and widely recognised providers of business sustainability ratings, evaluating more than 150,000 companies across over 185 countries and 250 industries. The assessment measures organisations against internationally recognised sustainability standards across four key pillars: Environment, Labour & Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement.

The Silver Medal recognition reflects Berkeley Services' continued commitment to embedding responsible business practices throughout its operations while creating long-term value for clients, employees, communities, partners, and stakeholders. Berkeley’s commitment to sustainable and responsible business is anchored by its alignment with the United Nations Global Compact—further validated by its EcoVadis Silver Medal recognition.

As a leading Integrated Facilities Management provider in the UAE and part of Klüh Multiservices, Berkeley Services has consistently focused on driving positive environmental and social impact through sustainable operations, resource efficiency initiatives, employee welfare programmes, ethical business conduct, and community engagement activities.

From supporting environmental initiatives and circular economy practices to promoting employee well-being, diversity, and responsible governance, sustainability remains a key pillar of Berkeley's long-term business strategy.

Commenting on the achievement, Karl-Heinz Otto Mair, Chief Executive Officer of Berkeley Services, said: "Receiving the EcoVadis Silver Medal is a significant milestone for Berkeley Services and a testament to the collective efforts of our teams across the organisation. Sustainability is not simply a business objective; it is embedded in the way we operate, serve our clients, support our people, and contribute to the communities in which we work. This recognition reinforces our commitment to responsible growth, continuous improvement, and creating lasting value for all stakeholders. I would like to extend my sincere appreciation to every member of the Berkeley family whose dedication has contributed to this achievement."

The recognition also highlights Berkeley's ongoing efforts to align business performance with environmental responsibility and social impact, ensuring that sustainability remains integrated into everyday decision-making and service delivery.

Nadesh Gandhari, Head of ESG at Berkeley Services, added: "This achievement reflects the strong sustainability culture that has been built across Berkeley Services. The EcoVadis assessment evaluates organisations against rigorous global standards, and earning a Silver Medal demonstrates the progress we have made in strengthening our environmental, social, and governance practices. While we are proud of this recognition, it also motivates us to continue raising the bar, driving innovation, enhancing transparency, and delivering meaningful impact for our people, clients, supply chain partners, and the wider community."

Over the years, Berkeley Services has actively championed sustainability initiatives through strategic partnerships, environmental awareness campaigns, waste reduction programmes, responsible procurement practices, employee engagement activities, and community-focused initiatives that contribute to a more sustainable future.

The EcoVadis Silver Medal serves as an important benchmark in Berkeley's sustainability journey and reinforces the organisation's commitment to continuous improvement, accountability, and responsible business leadership.

As Berkeley Services looks ahead, the organisation remains focused on advancing its ESG agenda, supporting clients in achieving their own sustainability objectives, empowering its workforce, and creating positive outcomes for future generations.
