The Omani Civil Service Employees Pension Fund appointed SSH to deliver Design and Construction Supervision services for a new mixed-use project in the Ghala Heights area of Muscat. Conveniently located 5 km from Muscat International Airport, this new development will offer guests a four-star deluxe hotel with 282 guest rooms and 58 serviced apartments.
Three luxury residential apartment blocks accommodate a total of 144 apartments that are located over a four-storey podium, with three floors of office space and a high-ground floor retail zone. Basement parking reaching over three levels provide for 1,200 car parking spaces as well as operational management facilities, including security, maintenance, refuse and delivery.
“Through industry experience and quality service delivery, SSH will strive to make the Ghala Heights development an iconic destination of choice for both Omani nationals and expatriate communities, adding yet another landmark to Muscat’s city skyline,” said Omar Nuri, general manager – Oman, at SSH. Once complete, the development will cover 146,000m2 of built-up area within a site of 21,480m2. Enabling works commenced in January 2019, followed by the main works on 24 June 2019, which includes one-month mobilisation.
