Msheireb Properties, the national real estate developer and a subsidiary of Qatar Foundation, today announced that five townhouse Majalis at Msheireb Downtown Doha have been awarded LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Gold Certificates, developed by the U.S. Green Building Council, which is the most widely used green building rating system in the world and an international symbol of excellence.
The LEED Gold Certification awarded to the townhouses Majalis add to the existing 32 LEED Platinum and other 37 LEED Gold Certificates for buildings and projects in Msheireb Downtown Doha, making the destination with one of the highest concentrations of LEED-certified sustainable buildings. This also adds to the credentials of Msheireb Downtown Doha as the world's first sustainable downtown regeneration project.
Through design, construction and operations practices that enhance environmental and human health, LEED-certified buildings help to make the world more sustainable.

The five Majalis at Msheireb Downtown Doha achieved LEED Gold certification for implementing practical and measurable strategies and solutions in areas such as sustainable site development, water savings, energy efficiency, materials selection and indoor environmental quality.
